In this activity, we practiced measuring objects using a dial caliper.

Compare your measurements of the Passenger Section with a teammate who measured the same part.
a. My measurements were not identical to my teammate's measurements, they differed by about .020 inches.
b. My measurements differ from those of another student who measured the same object because maybe I put the caliper too loosely or tightly on the objects that I measured.
Conclusion
1. What additional tools may have helped to measure these parts?
Ruler
2. Revisit number 1. Which measuring device provides the best measurements. Why?
The dial caliper provided the best measurements because it goes to more digits. For example the measurement with a ruler could be 1.25 in. but on a caliper it would be 1.237 in.
